Sheri Smallwood Gilligan graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1981. For over 100 years her family farmed off of Franklin Goldmine Rd. Sheri’s parents sacrificed so that she could have opportunities that they never had.
Upon graduating from the University of Georgia, Gilligan served our nation in the United States Navy Reserves. Her career path led her to work for the CIA as an intelligence analyst and finally home to Forsyth County to teach at Lanier Tech.
Her work with the Central Intelligence Agency helped protect us from national threats. Now Sheri Gilligan wants to protect our area from an overreaching government. We need a leader who will fight tax increases, support the 1st Amendment and religious freedom, and zealously represent the individual.
“That’s why I am running and I need your vote.”
Sheri, and her husband will celebrate 30 years of marriage this fall. They have four adult children and two grandchildren. The Gilligans worship, and are active members, at First Redeemer Church.
